DALLAS (AP) — George W. Bush has already surpassed his goal of raising more than $300 million to support his presidential library.

The Dallas Morning News reports that financial statements the Bush Foundation filed with the federal government show that the former president collected $313 million in donations in 2009 and 2010 (http://dallasne.ws/r8e1OM).

A Bush spokesman said the foundation will not name the financial backers though it plans to name some later. The largest single contribution in the past year was $25 million.

Bush's library will be approximately 227,000 sq. feet and will be the third presidential library located in Texas. The library of his father, George H.W. Bush, is located on the campus of Texas A&M in College Station. Lyndon B. Johnson's library is at the University of Texas in Austin.
