Boehner, tea party, Noem, Tim Scott“By creating new leadership and committee posts, floating tea party names for those positions and supporting conservative reformers for exclusive committee chairmanships, Republican leaders are signaling that they’re eager to pacify the new wave of anti-Washington politicians and to diminish the gap between establishment members and their upstart colleagues,” the news service states.

And they made sure to draw tea party-backed freshmen’s support for Texas Rep. Jeb Hensarling as GOP conference chairman over Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann.
