R-E-S-P-E-C-T. That’s what ex-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is starting to get from Democrats, although it’s still generally combined with scorn. A case in point is the remarks of Vice President Joe Biden on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Friday, Politico reports.

biden, palin, underestimated,“You're going to get me in trouble,” he said, laughing. “I don’t think she could beat President Obama, but ... she’s always underestimated. So, I think – I think I shouldn’t say any more.”

Biden also acknowledged all the miscues made by Democrats in this month’s elections. “We made mistakes,” he says. “We could have done things differently. We could have prioritized things in a different way.”

Of course Biden also was eager to kiss up to his boss. Obama is “cool as a cucumber,” despite the election defeat, Biden says. “I don’t have to tell him” to stay calm.
