NBC: We Won't Ax GOP Debate for Obama Speech

NBC said a Republican presidential debate is still scheduled for Sept. 7, the same day President Obama plans to speak before a joint session of Congress.

“We now have a terrific opportunity to hear from national leaders of both major parties about the most pressing domestic issues facing the country,” NBC, controlled by Comcast Corp., said today in an e-mailed statement.
