Ted Nugent: Obama White House Is 'Mao Zedong Fan Club'

President Barack Obama and his followers are “anti-freedom, anti-gun, anti-Constitution and anti-Bill of Rights,” gun-loving rocker Ted Nugent blasted during an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV.

“And I’m anti-them,” he added. “But we’ll be clearing house soon, so it’s merely a bump in the road right now."

Nugent spoke to Newsmax.TV at the NRA's annual convention in Pittsburgh, where he gave a speech titled “I Still Believe.” He described the Obama White House as “the Mao Zedong fan club.”

“President Obama is a clueless rookie community organizer,” said Nugent. “That he’s the President of the United States of America is a manifestation of cultural deprivation and cultural disconnect and abandonment.

“His track record, now that he is the commander-in-chief, has been abysmal.”

Nugent also had harsh words for New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his moves to ban guns in America’s largest city while, at the same time, insisting taxpayers finance his own armed bodyguards.

“We have some punk who is forcing his citizens into unarmed helplessness but demanding those citizens pay for his armed security detail. Does that not drive you batty?

“That man hates individuals, that man hates independence, and guess what? I hate him.”

Nugent, who has written his thoughts in the book “Ted, White and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto,” told Newsmax he is backing Allen West for the Republican nomination for the presidency. He described the freshman Florida Congressman as “a great American, a constitutionalist, a pragmatist, a utilitarian, a rugged individual and a man who respects logic over political correctness.”

“If Allen West became president of the United States of America, we would be on the fast track back to that Shining City on the Sea and I pray to God that we can elect this man.”

Nugent said the field of prospective GOP candidates is strong. “I love Mike Huckabee, he is a good man. I respect Mitt Romney. I adore Sarah Palin. There’s so many great people out there.”

And he talked of the strong work ethic of tea party followers. “The tea party is simply We The People, who still have alarm clocks and still get up early to be the best that we can be and still believe that if you are be driven by Herculean work effort to be an asset to yourself, an asset to your family, your neighborhood community and America.”
