Palin: Obama Making US Look Weak Against Russia

Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin says President Barack Obama's recent actions have the United States looking weak against Russia.

Palin has been enjoying a vindication in the past few days over comments she made during the 2008 campaign about Russian President Vladimir Putin. She was mocked at the time for warning that Putin would invade Ukraine if Obama were elected.

Putin's army did just that over the weekend.

Palin appeared on Fox News Channel's "Hannity" on Monday, saying she is also right when "I talk about that inherent link between energy and security, energy and prosperity."

The United States must develop its own natural resources and feed other nations rather than allow Russia to hold Europe hostage through its sales of energy, she said. To that end, the U.S. should stop delaying approval of the controversial Keystone XL pipeline, she said.

Putin also is showing Obama to be the weaker leader, she said.

"People are looking at Putin as one who wrestles bears and drills for oil. They look at our president as one who wears mom jeans and equivocates and bloviates," she said.
