From the ATR website.

In 2008, candidate Barack Obama made a “firm pledge” that no family making less than $250,000 per year would see “any form of tax increase.” Not your income taxes, not your payroll taxes, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.

Since then, he’s broken that promise many times. Just 16 days into his presidency, Obama signed into law a 156 percent increase in the tobacco taxes, a hike of 62 cents per pack. Pledge broken.

As we have noted, his chief legislative “accomplishment” since that time was the disastrous healthcare law, also known as Obamacare. This included 20 new or higher taxes amounting to more than $500 billion in new or higher taxes. Pledge broken.

Re-election candidate Barack Obama has again asked the American people to trust him at his word that if they give him one more shot, he will not raise their taxes. We know better. We know that when politicians say one thing and then do another not to give them another chance.

What about your friends? Are any of them Obama sympathizers who think he’s a nice guy who keeps his promises? We’ve got just the thing. We will send you the “Obamacare Tax Exemption Card” seen below with a contribution of $15 or more today.

We plan on holding every politician accountable who supported Obamacare’s massive tax hike. With swing voters and independents, the full repeal of Obamacare is a winning issue. Displeasure with the law has grown ever since it passed behind closed doors in 2009.

Your voice will make the difference in helping us get rid of everyone who supported this horribly disastrous law.

Can we count on your contribution of $15, $25, $35, or $50 today?

Onward,
Grover Norquist
