LIGNET: Iran's Jamming Capability Could Blunt Missile Attack

Iran’s recent jamming of satellites to censor news about its economy that it doesn’t want Iranians to see is evidence of an advanced signals warfare system that may have also brought down a U.S. drone late last year. This system, supplied by Russia, could make an attack on Iran’s nuclear installations that much harder, by crippling the surface-to-air communication that would likely be necessary for a large-scale strike targeting multiple locations.
