These unusual leisure sports can be really interesting. Our list of the five weirdest sports around the world includes games like dwarf throwing, bog snorkeling, wife carrying, man versus horse, and bossaball. Some of these weird sports need high levels of fitness, while others do not. Most of these weird sports are fun and can be enjoyed by anyone.

Little Person throwing
is among the weirdest of pub sports. This calls for a little person to get thrown on a Velcro or padded surface. Sounds cruel? Not according to organizers and participants because the little people are given safety gear to avoid accidents and some restricted growth people claim to enjoy it. However, this New Zealand sport mentioned in the Lord of the Rings trilogy has been banned in Florida and New York.

Bog snorkeling
is another example of a weird sport. This game makes it on our list of unusual leisure sports because it involves swimmers wearing flippers and snorkels, but not being allowed to swim in the peat bog channel. The annual World Bog Snorkeling Championships are held in Wales.

Wife carrying
is yet another weird sport. This traditional Finish game is no longer restricted to Finland, but is played widely in Michigan and Wisconsin as well. The rule of the game is to carry a female companion through some obstacles. The fastest carrier wins the game. This certainly
falls under the category of weird team sports.

Man versus horse
is also counted among weird fitness sports because it requires a great deal of stamina and dexterity. According to popular belief, this game was invented by a landlord who overheard his servants arguing about humans being able to beat horses. This weird game is conducted in Wales. It is a competition between humans and horses with mounted contestants.

is a weird team sport with three to five players. It is played on a trampoline and is a blend of martial arts, football, and volleyball. It is a pleasure to watch professionals play this game. Of course, fitness and strength are basic requirements.
