Getting college scholarships or high school scholarships is not easy, especially if you fail to acquire high academic grades. If your academic grades are low, do not take it to mean that you cannot achieve your academic goals. Applying for various weird or wacky scholarships may help you attain your career goals.
 
Surprised at the appearance of college scholarships and weird scholarships in the same sentence? Some very odd scholarships and grants are currently available for students. You may be heartened to know that these highly unusual and weird scholarships come with a decent amount of grant money.
 
Unlike other college scholarships, numerous wacky scholarship opportunities exist for “alternatively gifted” people. If you take advantage of such scholarships and grants, you can use the money to fund your high school or college education.
 
Here is the list of our top five weirdest high school scholarships and college scholarships:

The Society of Vacuum Coaters Scholarship: This high school scholarship is dedicated to students showing keen interest in studies related to vacuum coating. The college scholarships are given by the SVC scholarship committee. These scholarships are granted based on the student’s academic scores and interest in special subjects (math or physics).
 
The Tall Clubs International (TCI) Foundation Scholarship: Students who are at least 21 and attending their first year of college are eligible to apply for this weird scholarship. Height is the sole factor taken into consideration  for this college scholarship. To apply, women must be at least 5’10” tall and men must be at least 6’2”.
 
Chick and Sophie Major Memorial Duck Calling Scholarship: This high school scholarships contest can be entered free of cost. Within 90 seconds, competitors need to demonstrate four different duck calls. The winner gets a $1,500 scholarship, with the runner ups receiving $500, $300, and $200, respectively, for their vocal skills.
 
Scholar Athlete Milk Moustache of the Year (SAMMY) Scholarship: These scholarships and grants are available for 25 student-athletes. Each winner gets a handsome amount of $7,500 from this weird scholarship.
 
Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation: CKSF offers college scholarships or high school scholarships based on an individual's knowledge and ability to take Internet quizzes. Any graduate student with excellent knowledge on trivia topics such as the FBI, movies, and the Bible are eligible for these scholarships and grants.

Numerous students are hunting for scholarships and grants for getting into college. By using their hobby or odd talent, they may be the perfect applicant for one of the above-mentioned wacky scholarships.
