Something is considered weird if it is unusual, strange, eerie, supernatural, or bizarre. What is weird for one may be natural for another. What we say here is what seems bizarre to us, the general cross-section of the populace; it need not be so in the eyes of everyone. For the sake of anonymity, we will just refer to the families we consider wacky, without naming them or their locations. However, these people adopt weird family names and weird surnames. Maybe you have even come across such weird people, weird families, and awkward family photos.

1. The Tree-Top Family: This family has found its abode on a tree top. No, don’t think they simply live up there like monkeys. They have built a house complete with modern amenities. A bedroom, a double settee, a loft with two single rooms, a deluxe bath, and a well-equipped kitchen keep the family comfortable and content in their tree.

2. The Voyager Family: This family was stranded on a desolate island. In the course of returning they lost their way, and spent seven years on their sailboat. Needless to say, the sailboat has become their home now. Though they are in touch with the land, their lifestyle is atypical.

3.The Children’s Family: A home is never complete without the patter of tiny feet. But imagine 19 kids in one house. You must be envisioning squabbles and shrieks all day long, but you have it all wrong. This house is a picture of peace with smiling parents and well-behaved children. Peculiar family, don’t you think?

4. The Gangster Family: A mother is a child’s best teacher, who gives them their first lessons on virtue. But this mom went ahead and formed a gang of her own with her four sons. This bunch of hooligans went on to rampage and rob citizens until the law got the better of them.

5.The Stray-Lover Family: Have you ever seen a stray, mangy, miserable dog, and felt like cuddling it? The answer is probably a definite “no.” These good Samaritans went a step beyond other benevolent citizens and converted their house into an extended shelter for any houseless, loveless, stray dog, and even for a few cats that have come to their doorstep. Maybe a weird act, but adorable.
