How to Treat Cancer

Friday, 03 Jun 2011 11:23 AM

Treating cancer can seem like a daunting task. Fortunately, with advancements in medicine and surgery, many new ways of treating cancer have been developed. A cure is now available for many types of cancers.

Radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and surgery are some of the ways to treat cancer. A cure for cancer is best selected by an oncologist.

Surgery is a radical cure for cancer but many metastatic cancers are not suited for this cancer treatment. Surgery is done primarily for treating cancer but can also serve as a cancer prevention measure.

Radiotherapy is considered to be an alternative cancer treatment when surgery is contraindicated. Chemotherapy, another cure for cancer, is used with other treatment options for desirable success.

Some other alternative cancer treatments include using herbs like Saw palmetto, Viscum album extract, and Betula alba. These herbs strengthen the immune system and treat cancer by reducing the tumor size.

A healthy life style, good eating practices, and a stress-free environment aid in cancer prevention. Regular use of certain immune-stimulating herbs like Emblica officinalis is also good for cancer prevention.
