The prostate, which is a part of the male urinary and reproductive system, has an oval shape. It is found at the base of the bladder, next to the rectum.
The five major signs and symptoms of prostate cancer are:
1. Frequent urination and the inability to hold back urine
2. Feeling like the bladder is still full and difficulty starting or stopping urine flow
3. Burning or pain during urination
4.Presence of blood in semen or urine
5.Pain when ejaculating
As the tumor worsens, the cyst in the prostate gland can completely block the urine flow resulting in an enlarged and painful urinary bladder.
Prognosis of prostate cancer
Other health conditions can have the same signs and symptoms as prostate cancer. Having any of the above symptoms does not necessarily mean one has prostate cancer. Consult with your doctor if you feel that your body shows any signs and symptoms of prostate cancer.
