Nevada has three of the very best National Parks in the United States.  Thousands of visitors, campers, and tourists travel every year to take advantage of these national treasures in Nevada as part of their vacation plans.  The Death Valley National Park is open all year round and offers something for everyone wanting to see the desert and the hottest spots in America.  The Great Basin National Park is also open year round and offers great camping and tourist attractions.  Finally, the Pony Express National Historic Trail offers plenty of history for those wanting a picture of the early 1860's during the time of the great movement west.

Park Ranger led activities can offer any visitor including children a great opportunity to see and hear about Death Valley National Park.  The Park features guided hikes, walking trails, talks, and evening programs to provide you with all the information you need for a great visit either with others or just your family.  There is plenty of back country camping and hiking and many bike trails.  With the great variety of flowers, mammals, and plant life you will find all the great sightseeing most tourists and campers are seeking.  You can also find tours for the ghost town, Harmony Borax Works, and the Keane Wonder Mine and Mill.

The Great Basin National Park offers fishing, cross country skiing, and back country camping.  The National Park also offers great cave exploring and guided tours.  These tours are available in 30 minute to 2 hour trips depending on how much and how deep you want to explore.  The tours of the Lehman Caves are very popular with both adults and children.  The park is open all year round and campfire programs, guided hikes, and children’s programs are always featured.

The Pony Express National Historic Trail was developed and opened in 1860 to help move the U.S. Mail at a faster pace from Missouri to California.  It is a unique chapter in American history as people moved to the West during the 1849 Gold Rush and the Oregon Trail movement to the West in the 1840's.

The National Parks of Nevada are open to the public all year round and are oriented to serve visitors, tourists, and campers from all over the world and the United States.  These Parks are customer friendly and ready to serve you with beautiful sights, entertainment, and memories.
