Tuesday, 07 Sep 2010 04:06 PM

Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic autoimmune disease of the central nervous system (CNS) with symptoms that vary widely in their severity. MS is typically diagnosed between 20 and 30 years of age.

Some symptoms of MS appear to be more prevalent. These include blurred or double vision, weakness in one or more limbs, numbness, loss of balance, and tingling sensation.

Other common symptoms of multiple sclerosis include diminished memory, bladder and bowel dysfunction, fatigue, and depression. Since these symptoms are very common, they are categorized as nonspecific MS symptoms since they can also be associated with a large number of disorders.
