Lindsey Vonn Has Bieber Fever

Thursday, 14 Jul 2011 05:06 PM

Skier Lindsey Vonn won 'Best Female Athlete of the Year' for the second time on Wednesday night at the ESPY awards in Los Angeles, Universal Sports reports.

Yet, the surprise was not Vonn’s second consecutive win, but rather the acceptance speech she gave. The alpine skier began her speech as a normal acceptance speech but then admitted to having “Bieber Fever” and asked the young singer to take a picture with her.

When she posted the picture on her Facebook page the caption read “I finally got my Justin Bieber pic!” The photo had more than a thousand likes after being posted on Wednesday night.

The ESPYs were hosted by Saturday Night Live’s Seth Meyers and is the largest award show to honor achievements in athletics. The show took place in the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California.

The award show is presented by ESPN, a major international sports network owned by The Walt Disney Company.
