Katy Perry Holds off Britney Atop Singles Chart

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Katy Perry's "E.T." spent a fifth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart Thursday, while Britney Spears' "Till the World Ends" soared eight places to a new high of No. 3 bolstered by a much-buzzed-about remix featuring Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha.

Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" held at No. 2, and the Black Eyed Peas' "Just Can't Get Enough" slipped one to No. 4. Bruno Mars' "The Lazy Song" edged up one to No. 5, becoming his fifth top-five hit in as many tries. katy perry singles charts

Rihanna's "S&M" fell two to No. 6, Jennifer Lopez's "On the Floor" held at No. 7, Ke$ha's "Blow" rose one to No. 8, Jeremih's "Down on Me" slid four to No. 9, and Chris Brown's "Look at Me Now" dropped two to No. 10.

The "Glee" cast scores the top three debuts on this week's Hot 100, led by its mashup of the "West Side Story" song "I Feel Pretty" and TLC's "Unpretty" at No. 22. The ensemble's covers of Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know" and Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" followed at Nos. 42 and 44, respectively.

The "Glee" cast added a fourth Hot 100 debut, "As If We Never Said Goodbye," at No. 80.

The show whose premiere last Tuesday beat "Glee," and all competition, in its time slot, "The Voice," prompted the Hot 100 arrival of contestant Javier Colon, whose R&B-tinged take on Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" launched at No. 65.

Three other songs debuted on the Hot 100: alternative rock band Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks" (No. 96); Minaj's "Super Bass" (No. 98); and, actress ("One Tree Hill")/country singer Jana Kramer's "Whiskey" (No. 99).
