Thursday, 30 Jun 2011 12:37 PM

'Bend it Like Beckham' and 'Tudors' star Jonathan Rhys Meyers has been hospitalized in London after a recent suicide attempt, reports USA Today.

Paramedics arrived at Myers’ home Tuesday night to find the star slumped on the floor due to a pill overdose. In the hospital, Meyers refused treatment for 30 minutes before police finally stepped in to force the actor to oblige.

The 33-year old Meyers has been in and out of rehab for the past few years battling alcoholism.
