Monday, 06 Jun 2011 05:20 PM

Today, Monday, June 6, marks Apple’s yearly Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) and keynote address, reports The Examiner.

The event serves as Apple’s primary platform for introducing new products and software.

During the keynote address this afternoon, Steve Jobs unveiled the much anticipated iOS 5, the latest operating system for Apple tech products.

The new software is able to integrate all program notifications into one “Notification Center,” and it also introduces “News Stand,” an iBooks version of magazines and newspapers made available on all Apple devices.

Twitter, Safari, and camera capabilities also received notable enhancements. The iOS 5 will be made available for Apple products this fall.
