A number of myths and rumors surround erectile dysfunction. Interestingly, a balanced diet may solve this problem.
Causes of Erectile Dysfunction:
Apart from a serious illness, extended improper nutrition (malnutrition), impaired circulation, emotional stress, and prescription drugs are the only causes of erectile dysfunction.
Lack of a nourishing diet could be the most common cause of erectile dysfunction. People abuse their bodies with alcohol, tobacco, prescription drugs, and junk food, and expect some magic pill to save them from many dysfunctions. The drugs that are touted as a cure for erectile dysfunction act only as stimulants. They chemically induce you to perform for the time being, and then you collapse like a deflated balloon. People think a miracle drug can cure erectile dysfunction, but the body is too complex for that.
Another cause of erectile dysfunction is impaired circulation caused by clogged veins and arteries. If your veins and arteries are clogged, your penis will not receive adequate blood flow. Those clogged tubes can be cleaned and repaired by following a healthy diet. Fish oil, natural B vitamins, and a balanced diet may reverse the condition, while contributing positively to your overall health.
The following are some diet suggestions for Erectile Dysfunction:
Vegetables: Eat plenty of low-carb vegetables including cabbage, all the lettuces, spinach, chard, cauliflower, celery, kale, mustard greens, asparagus, bell peppers, and radishes. Limit your intake of higher carb vegetables including potatoes, yams, corn, and beans.
Animal Protein: Meats, Eggs, Fish, Chicken, Pork, Lamb, Hard Cheese.
Fats: Butter, Coconut Oil, Virgin Olive Oil.
Nuts: Any kind of fresh and raw nuts. Cooking or roasting changes the oils, and ruins the nutritional value. If you cannot chew them, use a coffee grinder or nut crusher.
Fruit: Fruits should be taken in moderate portions.If possible, try not to consume sugar of any kind. That includes: honey, molasses, corn syrup, any syrup, cookies, cakes, breads, pastas, sodas, candies, jelly or jam, dried fruits, fruit juices, carrot juice, rice, wheat, rye, millet, or any other grain.
Vegetable oils, soft cheese, yogurt, and milk contain elements which are not helpful when trying to solve erectile dysfunction.
