Here are the five best TV shows for children:

Jane and the Dragon, based on popular children book series by Martin Baynton, is a 3D cartoon with characters that appear as real humans.

Hannah Montana
is another TV show for children, especially pre-teens. It is hugely popular because of its main character Hannah. She is just like any American girl trying to establish a singing career, which makes her strive for success. And when she is not singing, she is as normal as any other teen could be, as she removes her blonde wig and enters the real world where she has to face stiff competition, peer pressure etc.

Sesame Street
is another hugely popular TV show which completed 40 years in 2009. Its Muppet characters like Elmo, Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, and the Cookie monster, have been extremely popular in American homes for decades and have made their mark on the minds of children. In fact, recently, the First lady, Michelle Obama, visited the show and advised children on the benefits of healthy food and exercising.

Spongebob Squarepants
on Nickelodeon is another children’s TV show that is hugely popular. The popularity of the show can be attributed to the simple characters and easy to understand storyline.

The Suite Life on Deck
is an educational show aired on the Disney Channel.
