Carpal tunnel syndrome is the result of high pressure on the median nerves of the hand which is responsible for giving out the sensations to the thumb and fingers.

The disease is more common in females than in males. The syndrome brings about the numbness and pain in the hand and affects wrists and hands.

Carpal tunnel syndrome can be treated effectively through regular exercise and a balanced diet. Carpal tunnel syndrome exercises will eliminate the need of surgery for the disease. Carpal tunnel syndrome surgery is a painful procedure for the patient in terms of physical as well as mental abilities.

One should maintain a minimum salt intake in the diet when suffering from this syndrome.Salt causes the tissue in the body to retain waiter which, in turn, makes them swell, especially in the case of carpel tunnel syndrome.

Individuals suffering from this syndrome should also avoid fatty and oily foods. These foods will cause the tissues to swell in a similar way to that of salt.

Including a variety of vegetables in your diet also helps curb the symptoms associated with carpal tunnel syndrome. It is essential to eat vegetables rich in folic acid as these types of vegetables will help build muscle and reduce swelling in the tissues.

Having sufficient water throughout the day is also necessary for the treatment of this syndrome. The water will act as a lubricant for the tissues and will prevent the friction of muscles and tendons in the body, which becomes a higher risk if the person gets dehydrated.

The patient will require an adequate amount of different minerals and vitamins in their diet. These minerals include potassium, calcium, and magnesium.

Vitamin D3 and vitamin B complex are also necessary for effective recovery. Including fresh fruits in your diet is also essential. These fruits will provide the essential minerals and vitamins for the growth of muscles. Potassium is important for the effective management of body functions and can be found in bananas.
