Day 5: Drink unlimited cabbage soup and eat around 10 to 15 ounces of beef. Add six tomatoes and, if you prefer, replace the beef with broiled or baked chicken and fish.
 
Day 6: Drink unlimited cabbage soup and eat vegetables and beef. Avoid baked potatoes and limit beef to two to three steaks maximum.
 
Day 7: Drink unlimited cabbage soup and include brown rice, cooked vegetables (except potatoes), and unsweetened fruit juices. Stay away from carbonated beverages, alcohol, and breads for the entire duration of the diet.
 
An effective cabbage diet is often used as an intermediate to kick start your metabolism in the midst of a long-term, healthy, balanced weight loss diet regime.
