Stardom seems to be genetic in the Spears family. According to the Daily Caller, pop legend Britney Spears tweeted a video of her 3-year-old niece, Maddie Briann Aldridge, chanting her aunt’s latest hit.

“OMG! Check out my niece Maddie covering Aunt Britney’s Up N Down. Sooooo adorable!” read Spears’ tweet. The tweet links to the 27-second video of the Spears toddler and has received over one million views.

Maddie botched the lyrics to “Up N’Down” with endearing innocence, the Daily Caller reports. Clutching a Barbie doll, Maddie traded the words “I know you want me like kids want candy” for a sweetened “I know that kids want candy.”

Maddie is the daughter of Britney’s younger sister, Jamie Lynn. In December 2007, Jamie Lynn announced her pregnancy. Maddie was born a few short months before fellow famous young mother Bristol Palin announced she was pregnant with her son, Trip.
