Pets can become beautiful companions that give unconditional love and friendship. The five best pets for companionship are discussed here:
  1. Dogs: Loving, loyal, and completely unconditional, dogs are the best companions anyone can have. They take to children easily and, best of all, they take it upon themselves to protect  children. Dogs require some amount of initial training, along with regular baths and coat-brushing. Regular exercise is a must, too.
  2. Cats: Cats make for friendly and constant company. Depending on the breed, they may be content and lazy or cheerful and hyperactive. But most cats are friendly and get along well with other pets and children in the household. Cats require regular grooming and their diet should be monitored. They can exercise on their own, making them excellent companions for all kinds of people.
  3. Hamsters: Hamsters are extremely cute and cuddly little pets that instantly become children’s favorites. They are tiny and have poor eyesight but have a keen sense of hearing, especially for sharp sounds. They are omnivorous animals, which makes it fun for their owners to explore different foods for their little hamsters.
  4. Birds: Birds make excellent friends and provide constant companionship for anyone who wants a low-maintenance pet. A cleaning of their cage and their food bowls are the only regular attention they really require. They get accustomed to human environments slowly, but once they become comfortable they make for pleasant pets.
  5. Rabbits: The cutest and most innocent pets, rabbits make harmless and constant companions, but require regular attention in terms of diet and health since they are prone to diseases.
