For homebodies, dogs offer loyalty, affection, and protection. While most dog breeds make wonderful companions, we have tried to bring you the top five best dogs for homebodies:

Golden Retriever
Golden Retrievers are known as a friendly, reliable, and trustworthy breed that generally show little hostility toward other dogs or people. They are considered affectionate and especially good with children. They are hard-working, and good dogs for homebodies, tending to be pretty alert. Affectionate companions with plenty of endurance, these dogs, though earlier trained as hunters, are perfect companionship dogs due to their loving attachment to families.

Yorkshire terrier
The Yorkshire terrier, like all terriers, is independent and spunky. They are vulnerable to attacks or injury due to their small size, but they are a home-loving breed and tend to get along very well with children and other animals. Despite their small size, they are likely to turn aggressive if provoked or attacked.

Maltese
The Maltese is a devoted breed; these little white dogs are extremely happy and make some of the best dogs for homebodies. They do not need much activity or outdoor exercise, making them ideal apartment dogs, and they love to snuggle close to family members. The Maltese seeks the company and closeness of their owner all the time.

Samoyed
The Samoyed is generally regarded for its friendly disposition. This breed is ideal as the perfect, healthy dog for homebodies. Though they do not score highly as guard dogs, the Samoyed serve as great companions and get along well with children and people. Also known as Samoiedskana Sobaka or Smiling Sammy, they are strong dogs and sometimes take a little more time to be trained.

Beagle
The Beagle, a great companionship dog, is a common choice in the United States as one of the best dogs for homebodies. The breed is considered sociable and submissive, and this little dog is pleasant and friendly in nature. The Beagle is an inquisitive and submissive canine, obedient to its master, and can be managed even by young children. Since these dogs require a large dose of affection, especially from children, the breed is popular as a pet.
