Valentine's Day Flowers

While chocolates are the best thing to eat on Valentine's Day, everyone knows a woman loves to receive flowers on the most romantic day around. They convey a sense of love and beauty that are associated with the day and show everyone around how much your loved one thought of you on this special day.

So, what are the best Valentine's Day flowers to send to your loved one? Consider the following kinds of flowers this year when you're deciding what to order:

1. Roses: Yes, you knew they were going to be on the list, but there are several ways you can make yours special. Did you know that light pink roses mean fun and happiness? What better message to convey than that? Additionally, you may want to send lilac roses as the sentiment associated with them is that the sender has fallen in love at first sight and is enchanted with the recipient.
2. Tulips: These are the second most bought flower for Valentine's Day and radiate a sense of style and classic grace. They're less expensive than roses, as a rule, and come in a variety of colors. They're also a great option for the "other loves" in our lives who deserve recognition on Valentine's Day, too.
3. Daisies: These fun, playful flowers last a lot longer than most other arrangements and project a charming image when displayed on a shelf, table, or desk. They're always cheerful and loved by all that receive them.
4.Wildflowers: This non-traditional flower arrangement is perfect for loves young and old. Whether you pick them yourself, select them on your own at the grocery store, or have a florist prepare an arrangement, they are a wonderful alternative on Valentine's Day.
5. Carnations: This flower has come a long way from the days when it was used only as a boutonniere. Instead, they can now be used in arrangements and are an inexpensive way to show your love. They also serve well for younger loves to give to their loved ones.

The best advice anyone can give you is to plan your purchase ahead of time. If you're having the flowers delivered, give explicit directions. But, accidents happen all the time. Instead, make arrangements to have them delivered yourself or by a friend to assure there is no disappointment in her eyes on that special romantic day.
