The main symptoms of Parkinson’s disease are involuntary tremors and difficulty controlling voluntary movements. Other Parkinson’s symptoms include constipation, sleep disorders, loss of sexual arousal, and urinary problems.

The drug Isosmotic macrogol, which is sold as Movicol, can alleviate constipation in people afflicted with the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
The drug Modafinil may help alleviate narcolepsy or sleep disorder in Parkinson's sufferers. However, Modafinil may pose a great safety risk. Another breakthrough drug, Methylphenidate, was made to counter the risk that Modafinil poses.
