Olympic Swimmer Buried Alive!

Tuesday, 10 May 2011 03:18 PM

A teenage Austrian Olympic swimmer didn’t fare so well on land Sunday in Florida when he somehow managed to bury himself alive.

Jakub Maly had to be given an oxygen mask to aid his breathing after it took rescuers two hours to dig the 19-year-old out of the sand.

“He is an Olympic swimmer so I suppose he digs Olympic size holes,” Pompano Beach Fire and Rescue spokeswoman Sandra King told Reuters.
