Like all other states in the United States, Kansas has special programs, grants, and loans for students. The programs have been especially designed so that no student has to give up on his or her dream of pursuing higher education and earning a degree.
The scholarships and grants are administered by the State Board of Regents. Here are some of the best:
Kansas Scholars Program.  One of the best and the most prestigious state scholarships for Kansas residents, this progrcollege scholarships
Kansas studentsam has been designed for outstanding students who have managed to complete the regent-approved curriculum and are looking to attend a local college or university. Scholarships are awarded to students with above-average GPAs and high ACT scores. Under this program, up to $1,000 is awarded to students for each academic year.
State of Kansas Distinguished Scholars Program. This program is designed for graduate students who have previously been awarded scholarships like the Fulbright or Carnegie-Mellon award. The scholarship is among the most prestigious and generous scholarships for residents of Kansas.
Kansas Ethnic Minority Scholarship. This scholarship is designed for students from minority groups. Students with high GPAs and ACT scores can apply for this Kansas scholarship. Students have to provide evidence of financial need, and under the program, scholarships of up to $1,800 are awarded each academic year. This program requires students to be enrolled at a local college for a full-time undergraduate program.
Kansas Association of Broadcasters Scholarship. This scholarship awards several thousand dollars annually to students to cover tuition fees and book costs. The program covers students who plan to attend a Kansas-based post-secondary institution. Students should be enrolled or planning to enroll, in a broadcast or other related course and have a GPA of at least 2.5.
Kansas Teacher Service Scholarship. This program has been designed to encourage bright and deserving students to enter the teaching profession and teach in Kansas in specific curriculum areas or in underserved Kansas state areas.
In addition to the above best Kansas scholarships, there are many other Kansas scholarship programs that have specifically been designed to aid students who require financial assistance. There are also scholarships for Kansas residents funded by the federal government, as well as other privately funded ones.
