What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui is an ancient art and science which was developed over 3,000 years ago in China. Feng Shui is a complex body of knowledge that reveals how to balance the energies in any given space. It promises health and good fortune for people practicing it.

In general, Feng means wind and Shui means water. And in Chinese culture, wind and water are associated with good health. Thus, "good Feng Shui" came to mean good fortune, while "bad Feng Shui" meant bad luck or misfortune.

Chinese Feng Shui can be defined as the ancient Chinese system of aesthetics that is believed to use the laws of both Heaven (astronomy) and Earth (geography) to help one improve life by receiving positive qi.

Feng Shui is used for different purposes. This ancient approach is based on the tremendous influence that our environment has on us. The way we feel and the way we act is affected greatly by our environment. Feng Shui shows us how to properly organize the things that surround us to help us improve our lives.

Feng Shui also shows us how our spaces can be designed and rearranged to provide the right balance and harmony. This Chinese science manages five main elements that we should always keep in mind when harmonizing our environment. These are: water, wood, fire, earth, and metal. Each one of these five elements moves in a different way and influences the energy of the environment differently.

Feng Shui Bedroom
A good Feng Shui bedroom is a room promoting a harmonious flow of nourishing and sensual energy. This kind of bedroom invites you, excites, and calms you at the same time. It is fun and pleasurable to be in, whether you are there for a quick nap, a good night’s sleep, or to make love.

Follow these basic Feng Shui tips to create a good Feng Shui bedroom:

   1. Get rid of the TV, computer, or exercise equipment in your bedroom.

   2. Open the windows often or use a good quality air-purifier to keep the air fresh and full of oxygen.

Feng Shui Colors

Color is one of the easiest ways to shift the energy in your space with Feng Shui.

Each color is an expression of one of the five Feng Shui elements: fire, earth, metal, water, and wood. The elements are used in specific areas according to the Feng Shui energy map of your space, or Bagua.

Feng Shui fire element colors are red, orange, purple, pink, and strong yellow. Feng Shui earth element colors are light yellow, beige, and other earthy and sand colors. Feng Shui metal element colors are gray and white. Feng Shui wood element colors are brown and green. Feng Shui water element colors are blue and black.

Feng Shui Wealth
Good Feng Shui for wealth means having your home and business free of clutter, displaying symbols that speak of wealth, and using specific Feng Shui crystals and essential oils to raise the Feng Shui energy in your home.

Feng Shui helps you create a healthy environment, both at home and in the business, which will strengthen you and attract the energy of wealth.
