Conservative women are cheering the political rise of Rep. Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin. The two women are an inspiration to females on the right, especially those in the Tea Party, reports
The Washington Post. The Tea Party has been lead primarily by women, and, more specifically, stay at home mom’s. Both Palin and Bachmann are mothers and have proudly worn that label while out campaigning.
Most conservative woman feel uncomfortable with Hilary Clinton and even the word “feminist”. There hasn’t been a female presidential contender since 1999 when Elizabeth Dole threw her hat into the ring. However, the Washington Post interviewed conservative woman who feel now is the time. As one interviewee noted, women run their households, so why not the country?
