Crowds started flocking to the Residence Inn Marriot in Portsmouth, N.H. when news broke that Sarah Palin had arrived in town. Curious residents wanted to get a glimpse of the former Vice Presidential candidate and her family. Also converging on the hotel was the usual pack of reporters, including a corespondent from the Daily Show.

Many in the crowd were fans of Palin. One brought a copy of Palin's book, "Going Rouge" hoping to catch a glimpse and a signature from Palin when she arrived. Others were not so impressed. One one bought a sign calling Palin "the idiot queen" and said she thought it was rude she was in NH upstaging Romney.
