Sarah Palin will be heading to Arizona to thaw out, not to run for Senate, reports CBS News. That’s what she told reporters as she got off a flight from Philadelphia and landed in AZ. She said she hasn’t even considered running for Senate and noted that the state already had great Senators. Her former running mate, John McCain, who plucked her from an obscure Alaskan governor to GOP superstar, is a senator from that state.

Palin wouldn’t answer any questions about a presidential bid but did explain why she picked Arizona for her new home. She said Arizona is a great place to “thaw out” from Alaska but will not become a full time home, but rather, a vacation spot. Palin says she plans to have some downtime and then get back on her “One Nation” bus tour.
