Ideal body weight is going to be different for men and women, and vary by age. A 5-foot-4 female should weigh approximately 120 to 130 pounds. Weight calculations for men will be greater to account for increased muscle mass. For instance, the ideal weigh for a man who stands 5-foot-4 would be between 125 and 145 pounds.
In any event you may consider using a BMI index instead of a weight index to target, and aim for a BMI of under 26. A healthy BMI (Body Mass Index) range for males is 12-18 percent and for females is 15-22 percent.
