Dr. Barbara Bellar made the best summation of Obamacare recently at a speech she gave at a “Women for Romney Rally” last month.

Dr. Bellar is an accomplished American. She is a physician, a teacher, a major in the U.S. Army Reserves, and a former nun. She received a BA in Psychology, a BS in Biology, a BHS, Physician’s Assistant, a MD, a JD, a MA in Bio Ethics and is currently seeking a MPH in Public Health. She is married and is seeking election as a Republican to the Illinois State Senate from the 18th District.

This is what she said. "So let me get this straight. This is a long sentence.

"We are going to be gifted with a healthcare plan that we are forced to purchase, and fined if we don't, which reportedly covers 10 million more people without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman doesn't understand it, passed by Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a president who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we will be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese and financed by a country that is broke. So what the blank could possibly go wrong?"

Dr. Bellar was able to fully assess a 3,000-page bill in just one sentence. This is all you need to know about Obamacare and how ill-conceived it was and how dangerous it is to health of our nation.

You would think Obama before creating a whole new healthcare entitlement would have first fixed entitlements like Medicare and Medicaid that are on the road to insolvency in the very near future.

Democrats since 2009 have been blinded by ideology and raw power. Instead of concentrating on jobs, reducing the deficit, reining in federal spending and giving Americans hope, Democrats made government bigger and more expensive and ballooned the deficit to a record 16 trillion dollars.

If healthcare represents 1/6th of our economy and 5/6ths of the economy is ailing, why has the president and congressional Democrats concentrate on the 1/6th at the expense of the 5/6th? It is like a fire department dousing a detached garage with water that is not on fire, instead of saving the house that is on fire.

State governments, healthcare providers, employers, and others affected are already looking into ways to refuse to obey mandates that affect their duties and obligations.

At a time when Americans in every part of our country are struggling to make ends meet and provide for their families, they are being asked by Democrats to pay into a healthcare system they will not fully see a benefit from for another two years.

Americans in a few weeks have a clear choice that will guide where America is headed for the next four years and beyond.

Do we return America to the principles that government should only do for the people what they can’t do for themselves or do we make Americans dependent on government for services we can attain from the marketplace at a fair price?

Do we herald success and achievement in America or do we demonize it and embark on a Robin Hood theory of economics where we take from the rich and give to the poor, thereby destroying the “American Dream” for all?

Only time will tell.
