Recent events might lead average Americans to throw up their hands in regards to politics, and possibly want to shut down Washington themselves. Against this backdrop, I traveled to Washington this week, guessing that the city might depress me. I was wrong.

Pollster Frank Luntz conducted a 29-person focus group of Trump supporters this past Monday. Other candidates might do themselves a favor by heeding the lesson Luntz has learned from focus groups , voters like when candidates say what they mean, and mean what they say.
