Sarah Palin has been doing the presidential dance for the past two years as pundits and political observers have pondered whether or not the former Alaska governor will jump into the 2012 race for real.

She's given speeches and made numerous national television appearances. A movie played in theaters that, although not commissioned by Palin, some speculate was intended as propaganda for a presidential run. She embarked on a campaign-like "One Nation" bus tour.

The GOP field has grown to eight credible contenders — but still there's no decision from the 2008 vice presidential nominee.
